Ogden

The city of Ogden, Utah is Weber County’s county seat, covering a total area of approximately 26 square miles. It is located about 40 miles north of Salt Lake City, and is known for its beautiful historic buildings, close proximity to the Wasatch Mountains, and as the home of Weber State University.

Once a trading fort known as “Fort Buenaventura,” the city eventually transitioned into a vibrant metropolitan railway hub in the late 1800s due to its location along major north to south and east to west routes. This prompted Ogden’s local chamber of commerce to adopt “You can’t get anywhere without coming to Ogden” as the city’s motto.

Today, Ogden is both one of Utah’s best high adventure attractions and an excellent place to live. The city has a distinct balance between mountain and metro, paving the way to a unique combination of vibrant shopping and dining, sizzling entertainment venues, and year-round access to unforgettable outdoor activities enhanced by majestic views of the Wasatch Mountain Range.
