Eden began as a community in 1859 when it became home to several families who arrived via the North Ogden Canyon. The group of settlers hired the services of Washington Jenkins, a government surveyor in order to plot the community. Upon seeing the area, Jenkins said it was one of the most beautiful locations he had ever surveyed, prompting him to suggest the name “Eden,” after the biblical “garden of God” mentioned in the Book of Genesis.
Today, the beautiful community is a lovely place to call home. Eden is perfect for anyone searching for a picturesque environment surrounded by world-class ski resorts, scenic hiking and biking trails, serene local parks, and top-quality shopping and dining destinations.
